Math and Science along Silk Road
The Silk Road was an important trade route in the middle ages. In addition to wares that were traded, a great exchange of ideas took place. These ideas included new concepts in mathematics and new scientific understandings. Note that the silk road was not just one route, but a series of trade routes that crisscrossed Asia, Africa, Europe, and later the Indian and the South China sea. Here is a map of the different trade routes along the Silk Road.
